RINOS AREN'T SO BAD!

Today we are 4 days from some very serious elections. It is our chance as conservatives to use our most powerful weapon, the voting booth. In NY23rd district things are making us smile. We have two candidates chosen by their party and one who threw his hat in the ring based on his convictions. As of today it seems we have a two way race with the RNC choice being left behind. This is most certainly a good thing if Hoffman, the non party man wins. Conservative leaders have rushed to his side, giving him name recognition. A few weeks ago nobody knew Mr Hoffman except his local associates. Now he is everywhere and seems to have a very good chance of winning. The RNC choice, is obviously a RINO, or worse.
Enter the big blue state of New Jersey. We have a corrupt, unpopular Governor in a race against the RNC's choice, Christie. Three weeks ago Christie had a double digit lead. Imagine how beautiful it would be to see NJ vote the democrat Corzine out of office. Imagine the egg-on-your-face Obama, Clinton and other democrats would be wearing. Two elections, two democratic defeats. A major blow to the administration with unknown repercussions. Enter a third party candidate, Daggett. He seems to be a smart. likable man but this  man will single handedly turn a major victory for Republicans, conservative or not, into a loss. His current 13% is nowhere near what he needs to be competitive. He is draining votes away from Christie. Without Daggett the democrats would be on the run, right where they should be. It would make members of the opposition to Obama and the liberals viable: wavering voters would take us seriously, our credibility would soar. I don't know if Christie is a RINO or not and it doesn't matter.
There is another race in San Francisco, given slim coverage by any news outlets. The situation is similar to New Jersey. We are looking at a liberal stronghold wondering why the Republican candidate is only 4% behind. Is this RNC choice a RINO? I haven't seen enough about him to know. Enter the third party candidate and suddenly the democrat's poll numbers are climbing.
I see a very dangerous course in these contests.
Bill Clinton won the presidency with far less than 50% of the vote because of the addition of H Ross Perot. George HW Bush suffered a loss as fiscal conservatives were fascinated by Perot's independent views and his financial savvy. Bush said "Read my Lips", Perot produced charts and chickens, Clinton stood by and watched and won.
As conservatives we watch with horror the antics of the democrats. We know Obama is wrong for our country. The democrats have a super majority and are producing such monstrosities as the first stimulus bill, cap and trade and the current health care bill. Our President surrounds himself with far left crazies and demands undying devotion from us all.
The first, and most important thing we need to do is rid the House and Senate of as many democrats as possible. We are not allowed debate, discussion or even suggestions. Our bills are always voted down. Some of the better ones are plagerized by democrats, then passed. Standing tall against them is the correct course. The courageous Americans at the the Town Halls, on the Tea Party Express are to be applauded and supported.
The time is coming very soon when we will go into a voting booth and choose. Does the third party have a real chance? Does the Republican RINO have a real chance? If the answer to the first question is no and the answer to the second is yes, what will you choose? Will you stand on principle and be angry because the RINO who just might win supports something you do not? If so, your vote is lost and the democrat candidate wins. Or will you swallow your pride, grit your teeth and vote for the RINO, knowing you may have just defeated a democrat? The Congressional map must change. We have to compromise right now. We have to hand out as many democrat losses as possible. Imagine 2010 with the House and Senate no longer being controlled by the Democrats? Imagine being able to stop Obama's agenda at every turn. If we can create obstacles to his policies, his re-election in 2012 will be far from certain.
Isn't this our objective? Ultimately? To take our country back from Obama and the left? I would trade a RINO for Nancy Pelosi any day.. It would the first step in reaching our goal of having a conservative country and government again.
We will not be able to achieve these goals if we become too impatient and try to attain them in 2010. First we need to kick out democrats everywhere in any capacity. Another election will be along very soon and then we can step in and vote the RINOS out. We must choose our battles carefully. NY23 may be a win, but the Governorship of New Jersey will be a terrible loss. A repeat of the 2006 Congressional elections would be devastating to conservatives. We must unite against any Democrat candidate anywhere no matter who the Republican opponent is to win the first major battle in the War against Barack Hussein Obama. In 2012 we can win the war.
